Prince George’s County Fire officials say a former volunteer firefighter has been charged with arson in a 2008 house fire.
Authorities say 22-year-old Gerard McBurnie Dixon Jr. of Bladensburg has been charged in the June 29, 2008 fire on Kennedy Street in Riverdale. Officials say one firefighter sustained minor injuries fighting the blaze.
Fire officials say Dixon was arrested Wednesday out of state and is awaiting extradition to Maryland.
